01 / THE COUNTS

Start with one product.

Fictional example

Units you brought at the start.

Extra stock brought in. Enter 0 if none.

Total sales quantities, before returns.

From these sales, back into sellable stock.

Unsold stock removed. Exclude returns still counted as sold.

Leave blank until you physically count.

Calculations run in your browser. Counts aren’t sent to our server or saved. Copy or download your check before leaving.

GET THE COUNT RIGHT

A refund isn’t
always a restock.

A refund changes money. Only add a return to this stock check when the item is back in sellable condition.

An unsellable return stays in your sold-unit total. Don’t also remove the same unit as “other damaged / removed”—that would count the loss twice.

This checks event totals, not the timing of each sale or return. It can’t tell you whether a difference came from a missed sale, an extra delivery, damage or a counting mistake.

WHEN YOU NEED THE WHOLE EVENT

A few useful details.

Can I use this for my whole inventory?

Run one check per product or SKU, using a consistent unit. Mixing different products can hide a shortage in one product behind an excess in another. The paid companion supports multiple products and sales lines.

What if I sold an item, took a return, then sold it again?

Count both sales in units sold, and the sellable return in units returned. For example, one packed unit, two sales and one sellable return leaves zero expected home. This tool checks totals; it does not validate their order in time.

Does a matching count prove my records are correct?

No. Errors can offset each other. A match means only that your entered counts reconcile. Keep the source records and investigate anything that looks wrong.

Do I need an account? Does this save my counts?

No Studio account is needed. The calculator runs locally in your browser and does not send the entered counts to our server. It does not save them between visits. Use Copy or Download TXT to keep the result. Our website host may handle ordinary request logs.
